First day of winter and it's pretty darn chilly here in Melbourne town! I think a cape is the ultimate in pregnancy winter wear, loving this simple version from American Apparel, so many colours to choose from!LIZ X

37 weeks today!!! Its really hard to believe how quickly time has gone and that in a matter of weeks I won't be pregnant anymore. Things are certainly a little less comfortable at this stage, I well and truly have my waddle on and can't seem to get comfortable enough to manage more than 3 or 4 hours of sleep in a row. Overall though I can't really complain, now i know the end is near I'm getting pretty excited about meeting le bebe! Will it be a boy or a girl? blonde or brunette? will it even have any hair? ....not long now.
Here are some photos from weeks 15, 24, 31 and 37!

As the weather continues to get cooler the "shoe section" of my brain starts dreaming of new boots that I would like to own, oh how I would love to add all four of these ankle boots to my winter wardrobe, especially the blue ones!

The nesting has started, I put all the baby's clothes away then cleaned out the fridge and kitchen cupboard today and I have my sights set on the study tomorrow! I packed my hospital bag the other day too, I'm known for my pre-packing, I start to set things aside and pre-pack months before a holiday. Anyways it was pretty exciting to put together baby's first outfit for the trip home from the hospital, one can never be too young for leopard.

More baby shower! Still felling very lucky to have had such a beautiful celebration, strangely since Saturday I am feeling a bit more ready for what is to come.
I have always thought of baby shower games as being a bit tacky however the games my friend organized were great so I thought I would share:
1. Musical Baby: We had a playlist of 15 songs, each with some reference to the word baby, everyone paired up and had to pick the name of the artist and song title, my personal favorite from Saturday's playlist was Ace of Base "All she wants" Classic!!!
2. Fame Babies: Paired up again we matched together images of celebrities to the crazy names that they call their kids. Sage Moonblood......really Sylvester Stallone??

Winter has definitely arrived, gone are the days when you can leave the house with out a jacket. I am happy I can now pull out these grey suede boots for the first time that I picked up in New York! 35weeks now and this pinafore style dress I made myself back at about 18 weeks is still going strong.

More pics to come but here is a peek at the mint green baby shower that my A-M-A-I-Z-N-G friend threw for me yesterday, I was banished from the house all morning to give her time to set up. Can't tell you how exciting it was to come home to such a beautiful surprise. Only the second baby shower I have ever attended but hands down the best.LIZ X

In a bit of a rush to get out the door this morning as a result I forgot the key to every maternity outfit...the long singlet, I have mentioned this several times before but can't stress enough how important this is, I spent the entire morning tugging my top down and pulling my pants up to avoid a flash of the belly!

The arrival of Zorro!! I think I must be one of the first streets on the couriers route, he always come super early banging on the front door. I don't mind being woken though when I get to rip open the baby's first care package from one of the Sydney Aunties. How adorable is Zorro the sock monkey, his little heart makes him look oh so sophisticated and Comme Des Garcon like!
